Mario Ammirati, MD, MBA has been awarded the first Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC) Preceptor Award. OSUMC believes those professionals who embrace new and experienced staff in our institution through precepting and educational endeavors are essential to the fulfillment of its mission. Excellence in percepting is reflected in many behaviors including but not limited to initiating an open and supportive relationship, the role modeling of professional behaviors and the ability to tailor instruction to the individual. To this end, the award recognizes those who consistently exhibit excellence in their perceptor and educator roles.

Dr. Ammirati is the first Neurosurgeon and OSUMC faculty to be awarded the 2007 Ohio State University Medical Center Preceptor Award! It is an exceptional honor for him and the department.
