E. Antonio Chiocca, MD, PhD, chair of Neurosurgery, has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 Farber Award for his work in brain tumor research. Sponsored by the Farber Foundation, awardees are selected annually by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological surgeons, two of the largest national and international organizations that encompass scientists and clinicians working on brain tumors. The researcher or clinician is nominated by colleagues and selected based on exhibited outstanding dedication and advanced progress in the field of neuro-oncology.
