At the last American Medical Association (AMA) meeting in Chicago, the AMA
appointed Clara Raquel Epstein, MD, a Steering Committee Member of the
American Medical Association Minority Actions Consortium Hispanic Physician
Outreach Initiative.

Epstein, a resident in the Department of Neurological Surgery, was also
recently awarded The Ohio State University Third Annual Research Award and
Traveling Scholarship for her collaborative research entitled "Correlation of
Microvascularity within Human Gliomas Identified at 8-Tesla, Ultra High
Resolution MRI and Histopathology Using Frameless Stereotactic Guided
Biopsies", Epstein CR, McGregor JM, Yang M, Abduljalil A, Chaudhury AR,
Robitaille PM, Christoforidis GA. Ohio State University Medical Center,
Columbus, Ohio. April 1, 2004.
