Dr. Hassan Serhan is the Director of Research and Technology of DePuy-Spine a Johnson and Johnson co. Prior to his employment with DePuy Spine in 1995, Dr. Serhan was a research assistant professor at both the Neurosurgery and Orthopedic surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Serhan has been the recipient of many awards including, America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, ASTM F-4 MOSES Award, Strathmore’s Who’s Who, National Register’s, Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals, Who’s Who in Science & Technology, Who’s Who in Medicine, Who’s Who Among the Students in American University and Colleges. Dr. Serhan is a member of several societies including, North American Spine Society (NASS), Spine Arthroplasty Society (SAS), American Society for Mechanical Engineering (ASME), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) he chaired and co-chaired two of the ASTM subcommittees for spinal implants testing methods. Hassan has been named inventor on more than 100 patents and patent applications and has been an invited guest lecturer by many Universities and Research Institute. |
